I love creating images that capture your family’s unique story. I would like you to have a great experience right from the start whether it is your family, baby or pregnancy you would like photographed. I put my heart into photographing you as honestly and relaxed as I can without stiff poses or forced smiles, just lots of playing, laughter and having fun and being just you, resulting in images that look real, effortless, artistic and authentic. I put everything into producing the beautiful, treasured photos you’re after, from planning your family photography session with you, finding a meaningful location to the look and feel of the images, capturing the bigger and tiny details so nothing is missed.

1. BOOK YOUR SESSION

To book your session, send a message via my contact page or an email. We’ll discuss over email or phone what you’re after and select the right package, location and date. You will receive a session guide with styling suggestions and preparation tips, complete a short questionnaire and confirm your booking with a $200 deposit.

THE PROCESS

2. THE SHOOT

This is the fun part! We'll meet at the agreed location and time to capture some beautiful images of you and your family. It’s my goal to make you comfortable so you can relax and focus on having a wonderful time with your family. You don’t have to be worried about not knowing what to do in front of the camera, I'll provide plenty of guidance and will do everything I can to make it as stress free and fun. When younger children are involved, I'll be mindful of the time.

3. VIEWING YOUR IMAGES


I will carefully select and edit your images, creating a cohesive online gallery which you will receive a link to within 1-2 weeks after the session. Then you get to decide which images you would like to include in your image package. You'll receive your digital files in 4-6 weeks through a download link. The files will include high-resolution versions for printing and low-resolution versions for online sharing. Remember to back up these files to an external hard drive or cloud storage. If you need suggestions on printing, framing, or creating a book,I’m more than happy to help.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS

Each session I do is unique, just like the people I photograph. Your session will showcase your individual personality and character. Before the session, we'll discuss your vision and find the perfect spot to capture your memories. Whether it's in your home or a favourite location, we'll make sure it reflects who you are. Your home is a reflection of you, a safe place where you can be yourself. Your favourite spot at sunset would make a beautiful backdrop for your session. We'll schedule your session for the morning or just before sunset to capture the best light.

On the day of the shoot I’ll take time to chat to you before we get into the session. This gives you and your children a little time to warm up to me. I’ll prompt you if needed, or simply let you run and play. I love when families forget that the camera and I are even there with and enjoy the moment and time so that the session becomes a memorable experience for all involved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Every session is unique and I will work with you to find the best suited location to you and your family.

  • I allow 60-90min for family photoshoots and 2-3hours for newborn photography. I never rush it and understand that working with kids can be unpredictable and I’m happy to take drink and snack breaks if needed.

  • Once you have booked your session you will receive a link to a styling and session guide that will help to dress the whole family and prepare you for the shoot.

  • If you are unwell for your session please let me know as early as possible. If you or your little one is unwell we can reschedule for another day, no problem. Please give as much notice as possible. If rescheduling with less than 24hrs notice a rescheduling fee may apply.

  • If the weather isn’t favourable, it is best to reschedule and I’ll reach out with some options. Typically we wait until the day of the shoot to determine if a reschedule is needed, as weather can change suddenly.

  • No. I spend a lot of time editing your images to make them look beautiful and with an artistic and cohesive look to them. I do not make people look different / skinnier / smoothen skin / alter appearances.

  • Absolutely! Dogs are always welcome at my family photo sessions. Just let me know beforehand and we will make sure to find a suitable location where your pooch can come along.

  • Having the digital files gives you the most freedom. You can use the photos for Christmas cards, calendars, prints, canvas, frames. Or simply make a beautiful slideshow or photo book. The key is not to leave the images on your computer where you will never have the chance to view them.
